During the historic 43rd General Conference of UNESCO held in Samarkand, the delegation of the Innovative Centre participated in the ministerial roundtable on “Tech Diplomacy & Multilateral Cooperation” and officially joined the Samarkand Declaration on Tech Diplomacy, pledging to promote global dialogue on digital governance and innovation.

The event, organized by the Tech Diplomacy Institute in collaboration with UNESCO, brought together representatives from 10 countries, rectors of leading universities including our partner SIUT (Rector Yusuf Abdullaev), and officials from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan. The Declaration was presented and signed by Dr. Tawfik Jelassi (Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information, UNESCO) and Ayumi Moore Aoki (Founder & President of the Tech Diplomacy Institute).

Recognized by UNESCO since 2018, the Innovative Centre remains one of the few organizations in Central Asia actively contributing to UNESCO initiatives, including the ECCE 2022 Conference in Tashkent, and continues its mission to strengthen education, innovation, and international cooperation.
